Terms of Service
A small set of rules for using ColorKit: lawful use, no scraping at industrial volume, and a clear note on what the tools can and cannot guarantee about color output.
Last updated: May 5, 2026.
Acceptance
Using ColorKit — generating a palette, copying a hex string, sharing a gradient URL with a teammate — is acceptance of these terms. They are short on purpose; the substance is the disclaimer that follows.
Use of the site
ColorKit is free to use for personal and commercial design work. Generated palettes, gradient definitions, and converted color values may be incorporated into any project without attribution. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, gain unauthorized access to its systems, or scrape the pages at a rate that affects availability for other users. Republishing the site’s curated UI copy, illustrations, or layout as a competing product without permission is not permitted.
Color output is not a guarantee
Color appearance depends on a chain of variables ColorKit cannot control: the visitor’s monitor calibration, viewing-environment lighting, color profile of the device displaying the work in production, and the gamut of the medium (sRGB web, P3 display, CMYK print, Pantone match). The tools report mathematically defined values; they do not warrant that a swatch will look identical on every device, that an OKLCH-based palette meets a brand’s perceptual standards, or that a contrast result satisfies an accessibility audit in your jurisdiction. Verify critical work in the target medium.
Disclaimer of warranties
The site is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of ColorKit. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.
Advertising and third-party links
The site displays Google AdSense advertising and may link to third-party design resources. The publisher does not curate or endorse individual advertisers or external sites. These terms may be updated as the tool roster grows; continued use after a revision constitutes acceptance.
